If you already have a Smart Society account and want to switch your MFA method to One-time password via your mobile device, then please follow the steps below.
Switch MFA method
Go to the Smart Society Account portal: https://account.smart-society.io and login.
- Select Personal Information
- In the Security section, select Change MFA
- Select Alternative MFA method for other methods and click Proceed
Set up MFA with One-time Password
- If you have selected Alternative MFA method, upon next login, you will see the popup below. Select Google Authenticator or similar.
- You will see the following screen
- Please install the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device. Once you have done so, or if you already have the app installed, you can Continue.
- Within the Google Authenticator app, select the "+" sign to add an account and then select the Scan a barcode option.
- Once you have scanned the QR code, the Google Authenticator will present a code. Enter that code in the Enter your one-time code field.
- You have now set up your MFA via one-time password
