Issue
I have received a Welcome email. When I click on Enable your new account in that message, I end up with the following error:
Setup your account - expired link in email
You get this error due to the fact that the link in the email got expired.
Please use the following steps to setup your account:
- Browse to the account portal: https://account.smart-society.io. Please bookmark the link (https://account.smart-society.io) of the account portal. You will probably want to visit it in the future.
- Sign in to the account portal.
- Enter your Email Address. Click 'Continue'
- You will now see the 'Enter Your Password' dialog. Click on the Forgot password? link at the bottom.
- Verify your email address is correct on the below and click on Continue.
- You will now receive a Reset your password email. Please follow the instructions in that email to set a new password for your account. This should result in the following message:
- Browse to the account portal (https://account.smart-society.io) again and sign in with your email address and your password as set in the previous step. Please bookmark the link (https://account.smart-society.io) of the account portal if you haven't done so in step 1.
- Before you can access an application with your account, you need to enable Multi-Factor Authentication. Multi-Factor Authentication provides an additional layer of security, decreasing the likelihood of unauthorized access using your account. To enable Multi-Factor Authentication, you need to register a mobile device. You will find MFA setup information on the Smart Society support portal.
- Once MFA is set up, you have setup your account and can access your applications.
