Issue

I have received a Welcome email. When I click on Enable your new account in that message, I end up with the following error:




Setup your account - expired link in email

You get this error due to the fact that the link in the email got expired.

Please use the following steps to setup your account:

  1. Browse to the account portal: https://account.smart-society.io. Please bookmark the link (https://account.smart-society.io) of the account portal. You will probably want to visit it in the future.
  2. Sign in to the account portal. 
  3. Enter your Email Address. Click 'Continue'
  4. You will now see the 'Enter Your Password' dialog. Click on the Forgot password? link at the bottom.  
  5. Verify your email address is correct on the below and click on Continue. 
  6. You will now receive a Reset your password email. Please follow the instructions in that email to set a new password for your account. This should result in the following message: 
  7. Browse to the account portal (https://account.smart-society.io) again and sign in with your email address and your password as set in the previous step.  Please bookmark the link (https://account.smart-society.io) of the account portal if you haven't done so in step 1.
  8. Before you can access an application with your account, you need to enable Multi-Factor Authentication. Multi-Factor Authentication provides an additional layer of security, decreasing the likelihood of unauthorized access using your account. To enable Multi-Factor Authentication, you need to register a mobile device. You will find MFA setup information on the Smart Society support portal.
  9. Once MFA is set up, you have setup your account and can access your applications.
