In the Smart Society Account Portal, customer organisations can, to a large extend, manage their own organisation and user details. These details are used for access to the applications of Royal HaskoningDHV that the organisations are subscribed to. Please note that what users are actually able to see and do in the applications, is defined i the applications themselves.

To manage organisation and user information, Smart Society has defined three administrator roles. Each customer organisation should assign at least one person for each role.

Organisation administrator

Every Organisation must have at least one Organisation Administrator. Users with this role can manage all Organisation related (admin)roles and information of the Organisation to which they belong. 

A new Organisation can only be created by the Smart Society support team. As part of the request to create a new Organisation, the support team will need to know which user(s) to assign the Organisation Administrator role to. The initial Organisation Administrator can (re-)assign the role to another or additional user(s) in the Organisation at a later moment if required. It is not possible to delete the last Organisation Administrator; the role has to be assigned to another user before the deletion can succeed.

User Administrator

Every Organisation has at least one User Administrator. Users with this role can add and remove users, and manage all aspects of users. This role can be assigned to the same users that have the Organisation Administrator role, but it can also be delegated to specific users.

IT Administrator

Every Organisation has at least one IT Administrator. Users with this role can manage all aspects of DNS domains. An IT Administrator should have the ability to change the Organisations IT settings related to DNS domains. If applicable, the IT Administrator is the primary contact used by the Smart Society support team for federation related discussions.
